Position Title: Internal Sales (Auto Parts Counterperson)
Location: Huntsville, ON
Type of Employment: Full-time permanent

  • 40 to 44 hours/week
  • Monday to Friday
  • Rotating Saturdays

Position Summary
Auto Parts Centres (APC) fosters long-lasting relationships with our customers. We establish connections built on trust, transparency, and dedication. The primary objective of this role is to provide excellent customer service to our valued customers by processing orders using your automotive knowledge, company database and parts catalogue. Effective use of company resources and tools is an integral part of this role, as well as meeting and setting customer service goals for APC network customers and third-party customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide quality customer service and assist customer inquiries both in-person and over the phone using automotive knowledge, company database and parts catalogue
  • Answer inbound calls and ensure all calls are answered in a professional manner and make follow-up calls to customers as necessary
  • Complete necessary paperwork (e.g. warranty forms) in an accurate manner
  • Maintain overall store appearance by cleaning and organizing on a regular basis
  • Pick, receive, ship, stock, organize and deliver auto parts orders when necessary
  • Other reasonable duties as assigned by the management team


Key Requirements and Experience

  • 2 years of automotive aftermarket parts experience (customer service, sales, repair)
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience
  • A valid G Driver’s License and a clean 3-year driver’s abstract required
  • Basic computer skills (e.g. ability to use Outlook, online database and web-based training)
  • Basic mathematical skills, understanding of basic units of measure and ability to sort alphanumerically

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move 10 lbs. (4.5 kg) to 50 lbs. (22.7 kg) safely and consistently
  • Ability to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, twist, lift and bend on a regular basis
