MEDICAL ASSISTANT NEEDED

We are a private medical practice in the Scarborough area looking for a dynamic, experienced medical assistant to join our dedicated team immediately.

The successful candidate will be pleasant and dedicated, have excellent interpersonal skills, multi-tasking capabilities as a medical assistant.

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for the clinical and administrative services associated with the operation of the clinic.

Competence in using an EMR (preferably OSCAR PRO) is preferable. Training will be provided.

Fluent English a must.

Responsibilities:

• Greeting patients and visitors as they enter the office
• Handling patient inquiries in-person, on the phone
• Arrange appointments for patients
• Oversee the admission of all visitors
• Responsible for all patient registration and medical plan billing

• In taking patients, taking vitals, completing patient history and assisting the Physician as required
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience

• Graduate of Medicine (International Medical Graduates are welcome to apply).
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to organize work and set priorities; ability to meet deadlines and work independently
