Currently recruiting for a Commercial Paralegal with 8 + years experience for a large firm in downtown Edmonton

Must be able to run the files from beginning to end, this position is working mainly for the managing partner. Great communication skills is a must.

Duties & Responsibilities

·Commercial real estate transactions – drafting and full process of legal and banking documents in the areas of purchase, sale and refinance from opening to closing file.

·Review purchase and sale contracts, financing documents leases and Land Titles documents

·Provide support for acquisitions and sales of: commercial properties, condominium developments, financing transactions and land development

·Carry out title and off-title due diligences searches on commercial properties and reviewing reports

·Commercial lending transactions

·Drafting statutory right of ways, covenants, easements

·Dealing with municipalities and strata corporations

·Preparing contracts and closing documents

Skills & Requirements

·8+ years of experience closing commercial real estate transactions

·Commercial business lending background an asset

·Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast paced environment

·Excellent communication skills interacting with clients by telephone and in person

·Full knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Outlook

·Excellent written communication skills

·Ability to work autonomously with minimal guidance and training
