Job Overview:
The Project Coordinator is responsible for overseeing various projects at BEST locations within the province of BC. The incumbent is responsible for various projects aimed at continuous improvement.

Reporting Structure: The Project Coordinator reports directly to the General Manager.

Location: Vancouer, BC

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Project Work at various BEST locations, ensuring deadlines are met;
  • On occasion perform inspections ensuring performance standards are met as per Client and BEST’s expectations;
  • Provide support to Site Leadership on procedures and SOP’s
  • Become familiar and knowledgeable on equipment use and cleaning techniques and support training where required
  • Perform various quality control inspections on site
  • Provide on-going coaching to staff and encourage adherence to quality standards;
  • Assess client requirements and work with Site Manage to implement quality assurance plans;
  • Act as a catalyst for change and quality assurance; • Abide by company safety rules and regulations;
  • Attend additional training courses, seminars/webinars, and equipment training to ensure leading industry best practices are utilized with a commitment to operational excellence;
  • Proper vetting and implemtnation of various company innovations
  • Creation and implementation of various KPI’s
  • Completing Operational audits to sites within the province
  • Providing various operational support to the BEST team onsite
  • Other duties as required per business needs.

Skills Required:

  • Organized
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office & understanding of income statements, forecasts etc.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Employment Standards Act & Occupational Health and Safety Act;
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent interpersonal & communicational (written & verbal) skills;
  • Intrinsic ability to effectively analyze, plan, prioritize, negotiate, & execute business’ strategic goals.
  • Technically inclined and able to properly and safely utilize equipment & vehicles;
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions;
  • Previous custodial project work experience an asset;
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transport
  • Multilingual ability is considered an asset.

Education & Experience:

  • Business-related post-secondary diploma/degree;
  • Minimum 3 years work experience with a focus on service, quality assurance, training, safety, & HR;
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving abstract;
  • Acceptable security and criminal record check.
