Job Summary:
The Indian Society of Calgary is seeking a highly motivated and creative Social Media Coordinator to join our team for an 8-week contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our organization's social media accounts, creating engaging content, and analyzing social media data to improve our online presence. This is a remote position, and flexibility on working hours can be negotiated.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement.
Create and publish content on various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube that promotes our organization's cultural and community events.
Monitor social media channels for member feedback, questions, and concerns and respond in a timely and professional manner.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure brand consistency in messaging and content.
Use social media tools to track and analyze social media performance and report on key metrics.
Stay up-to-date with social media trends and best practices and recommend changes to strategies as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field or currently pursuing.
2+ years of experience in social media management, preferably in a non-profit or community organization setting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in English
Strong graphic design skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Experience with social media scheduling and management tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social.
Knowledge of social media advertising platforms such as Facebook Ads Manager and LinkedIn Ads.
Familiarity with social media analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, and Twitter Analytics.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Availability to work remotely during the contract period with flexible working hours.
