Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Speech-Language Therapy, each SLP is responsible for all aspects of caseload management using clinically accepted procedures to assess, plan and carry out speech-language programs either directly or through training caregivers and support staff. The SLP works collaboratively with the family and other professionals to determine the best array and intensity of services based on the goals of the family. Positions may be located in any of our three offices (Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Mission). Our SLPs work in homes, community settings, private schools and our offices delivering services to a wide range of children and youth birth to 18 years across several FVCDC programs. FVCDC offers a diverse array of opportunities for SLPs to apply and grow their clinical skills. Additionally, staff have access to generous education funds to support professional development.

We are currently seeking applicants with interest and experience working with school-aged children and youth.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current registration with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC.
  • Previous experience working with children and youth is an asset
  • Previous experience working in a public or private school setting is an asset
  • Education and experience working in Indigenous communities is an asset
  • Ability to speak Punjabi is an asset
  • RASP registration is an asset
  • Class 5 driver's license
