Stretch Construction is looking to hire a Carpenter to work closely with our Operations team on a large ongoing project in Kelowna.

Roles and responsibilities include:

  • Assist in a variety of carpentry tasks that will focus form and execution including but not limited to performing repairs on existing framework to structures
  • Have proficient knowledge of building codes and safety regulations
  • Be mechanically inclined
  • Be efficient with trade tools and materials necessary to the job
  • Be available to work Monday - Friday with occasional Saturdays
  • Have reliable vehicle/transportation
  • Have standard hand tools i.e. Skill saw, square, power cored, hammer and pouch
  • Possess full PPE (steel toed boots, high vis vest, hard hat, gloves, safety eyewear)
  • Be hardworking & driven individual with a desire to continue learning
  • Have the ability to work independently with attention to detailed instructions, or as part of a team with great work ethic
  • Have high concern for safety & familiarity of construction site safety protocol
  • Be proficient & safe use of power tools
  • Be dependable & consistent – show up on time & ready to work
  • Have a positive attitude to complement our team

Qualifications and Experience:
Required:

  • Have several years of construction experience (asset) / willingness to be trained

Preferred:

  • Possess valid First Aid level 2; (Preferred)
  • Have a forklift ticket (not required but considered an asset)

Salary: Negotiable based on experience
