Graphic Designer

Reports To: Art Director

Employment Type: Full-Time, 8am-5pm

Location: Head Office, Uxbridge

What we’re looking for:

We are looking for a highly motivated artist to join our automotive and agricultural focused art department to help with the creation and promotion of for our lines of in-house design and licensed apparel and accessories. Working for Choko means being creative and adaptive while working in a fast-pasted company.

Responsibilities

In this Graphic Designer role, the responsibilities would include but are not limited to:

• Creating market leading t-shirts, hats, jackets, fleece, packaging etc.
• Creating marketing aids including flyers, brochures, ads, signage
• Producing logo designs
• Working with embroidery, silk screen printing, heat seal, patch, crest appliques, etc.
• Constructing specialty projects such as sublimated garments and accessories, automotive race jackets, etc.
• Doing simple photography
• Following through on jobs from start to finish and completing them in a timely manner
• Conducting daily research to obtain a full understanding of each our licenses
• Working hard to meet all timelines and due dates

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience

• Education / Certificate or Diploma Graphic Design
• 3 - 4 years' prior merchandise and apparel industry related design and development experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Focused and goal-oriented
• Positive / Self Motivated
• Cooperative and communicative attitude with executive staff, managers, and employees
• Excellent English written and oral communication skills
• Must be legally eligible to work in Ontario
