Job Purpose

The Interior Design Administrator will be responsible for assisting clients with their selection of window coverings by providing design advice and following up on existing orders.

Responsibilities

· Schedule and confirm window designs’ client appointment.

· Departmental reception duties such as receive and welcome clients upon entry to the studio, answer phone calls and escalate inquiries where needed.

· Understand clients’ requests and respond with the appropriate action.

· Measure windows and order the appropriate blinds.

· Schedule installation of new blinds and coordinate blind repairs.

· Pricing window treatments.

· Manage, order, and organize office supplies.

· Receive blind shipments on ordered items.

· Manage departmental truck maintenance such as oil changes.

· Follow up with suppliers, clients and colleagues regarding issues and questions.

Qualifications

· Completed post-secondary diploma in Administration, Sales, Fine Arts, Interior Design, or related academic field of study comparable is preferred.

· Two (2) years of administrative experience with knowledge of Microsoft office products required

· One (1) or more years of experience as a window covering technician, interior designer, or other similar occupation, preferably in the real estate industry.

· Data entry skills required.

· Ability to lift 30 lbs boxes of blind shipments required

· A valid class five (5) driver’s license and personal reliable transportation is required.

· A clean drivers abstract is required for the operation of company vehicles on public roadways.
