Logistics Coordinator duties and responsibilities

The Logistics Coordinator should be able to manage their own time and their team’s time efficiently to maximize productivity. The Logistics Coordinator contributes to the company’s overall success by ensuring deadlines are met. Some of the most common daily tasks of a Logistics Coordinator include:

  • Manage the schedule efficiently to maximize.
  • Estimate the quantity of inventory needed to complete the
  • Keep track of incoming and outgoing products/orders, equipment and materials
  • Keep detailed spreadsheets of the workflow (past, current, and future)
  • Ensure all projects are completed by the deadline.
  • Highlight Exceptions to allow to be proactive with
  • Visualize and facilitate logistics of the warehouse, transportation, and customer service.
  • Communicate and negotiate with transportation carrier companies.
  • Schedule workflow in Fulfillment including, but not limited to dropping of orders, receiving, cycle counting and consolidations.
  • Coordinate and monitor operations of the supply.
  • Optimize procedures with logistics IT.
  • Track final shipments, and timelines according to
  • Resolve shipment and inventory issues.
  • Keep detailed, organized records of orders and stock.
  • Prepare accurate reports according to the expectations of upper management.
  • Analyze data and suggest modifications and improvements.
  • Adhere to all safety standards, regulations, laws, and policies.

Logistics Coordinator skills and qualifications

A Logistics Coordinator will possess key skills that reflect their time management capabilities and ability to do the job well.

  • Currently enrolled in a graduate program in Logistics or related field and is available for a coop.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a
