Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a Physiotherapist to join the Richmond Community Health Access Center Rehabilitation team in Richmond, BC. Apply today to join the team!

As a Physiotherapist at Vancouver Coastal Health, you will:
  • Coordinate the designated program by supervising at least one other Physiotherapist and a total staff of more than three (3) and up to eight (8) FTE.
  • Establish priorities and coordinates work assignments, monitor and evaluate program service outcomes, provide leadership and clarify performance expectations with staff.
  • Coordinate staff recruitment and act as a clinical resource for members of the team and students, and promote interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Provide direct assessment and treatment services to clients and maintains client records.
  • Coordinates on-going team planning, evaluation and quality improvement activities, participates in approved research as applicable, and participates in and/or leads internal and external committees, meetings, and/or corporate initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
  • Current full registration with the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia (CPTBC).
  • Four (4) years’ recent related clinical experience including two (2) years’ supervisory and administrative experience in the designated area, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Eligible for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and the PT Association of BC.
Knowledge & Abilities
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Physical Therapy theory and practice within a client and family centred model of care.
  • Broad knowledge of the CPTBC standards of practice and guidelines for clinical practitioners.
  • Demonstrated ability to promote Indigenous Cultural Safety
  • Demonstrated ability to provide competent and culturally safety care in a variety of settings and with diverse populations
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in a culturally safe and respectful manner, with co-workers, physicians, other health care staff and patients/clients and their circle of care.
  • Broad knowledge of other health care disciplines and their role in client care.
  • Broad knowledge of legislation and government policies and procedures that relate to the client/resident.
  • Demonstrated ability to adjust to unexpected events, problem-solve, set priorities and deal with conflict.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Ability to deal effectively with clients/residents and their families, coworkers, physicians, other health care staff, and staff of external agencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to stimulate client’s interest, assess results of programs and work effectively on an individual or group basis.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide effective supervision, leadership, facilitation, guidance, and consultation.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish workload priorities in collaboration with others in a complex health care environment.
  • Ability to operate related equipment including applicable software applications.
  • Demonstrated physical ability to perform the duties of the position.

The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes.
