The position

The Project Assistant will work directly under the Project Coordinator, to assist with the implementation of a well-coordinated, strategic approach to service all partnership agreements. This position will serve as a liaison with internal departments, and staff to implement and coordinate partnerships including sponsorships, corporate buyouts, rentals, government grant agreements, and special projects.


We are looking for someone who is exceptionally organized, energetic, goal-oriented, and creative; takes direction well, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Our ideal candidate has a background in project coordination and a talent for building strong and productive relationships across constituencies.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the servicing of agreements including but not limited to sponsorships, government grants, corporate buy-outs, and corporate events.
  • Work with venue management teams to secure cash and in-kind partners for ancillary events.
  • Responsible for assisting with the fulfillment of all partnership benefits, including onsite and offsite activations, and assisting with clients' needs across all internal events and activities.
  • Track partner objectives, marketing platforms, and activation efforts.
  • Serve as a liaison between internal departments on partnership implementation activities for both general programming and events.
  • In coordination with internal staff, and under the direction of the Project Coordinator, implement partnership sponsored events/programs, and create activation strategies to help meet our partner’s business objectives. Work with internal marketing, ticketing, catering, venue management, finance, and other teams to coordinate fulfillment of partnership benefits and campaigns.
  • Assist with the appropriate and timely implementation of partnership recognition in internal assets (website, social media, on‐site signage, collateral, etc.).
  • Assist with customized fulfillment reports for each partner agreement, outlining marketing benefits delivered.
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth working knowledge of Lighthouse Immersive’s signature properties
  • Coordinate & assist with special projects as directed.

Requirements

As this position is available via the Student Workplace Placement Program, candidates must be:

  • A post-secondary student enrolled in a recognized Canadian PSE institution (university, college, CEGEP, polytechnic)
  • A Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with provincial/territorial legislation and regulations.

Skills

  • 1-2 years of progressively responsible partnership, project coordination, customer service, business development and/or sales and marketing experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven track record of effective project coordination, detail-oriented thinking and
  • strategic decision-making.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, have good judgment and strong ethics.
  • Knowledge of marketing principles.
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational and facilitation skills and the ability to excel in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in using a computer database and PC software is highly desirable. Familiarity with Asana and HubSpot software is an asset
  • Positive attitude.
